Let's make sure we are talking about the same thing before proceeding further.

I was talking about (actually against) allowing null move in the PV, which is
not the same as "at PV nodes".  In the PV means *inside* of the alpha-beta
window (exact score).

You sound like you might be talking about whether or not to try null move at PV
nodes, which is a different topic (and only used for fail high, which means the
node is not in the PV after all).

I don't know of any PVS-like engine (or alpha-beta based for that matter) which
allows null move in the PV.
