Very, very exciting >reading. Yes, that's really a very fascinating book. Anyone who has any interest in computerchess competition is guaranteed to enjoy it IMHO - reads like a thriller. I also think it might show the future of computerchess to some extent. Some of the experiences with computer checkers are thought-provoking. How will 7 piece egtbs influence competition? Opening book? What makes it even more fascinating is that Jonathan Schaeffer really does nothing at all to beautify his own thoughts and actions, risking to sound like a jerk at times. It's also a book to learn more about Marion Tinsley, a champion unlike anyone in the chessworld ( from 1951-1995 he only lost five (!) from hundreds of tournament games, which includes his two losses against Chinook).
