There is a difference between using a native Chessnase crafty engine and crafty as a uci engine with teh wb2uci adpater. How much of a difference depends on your PC, some people get faster nps using the winboard engine +adpater. The wb2uci adapter does send a new command with every move, but if your processor like the winboard crafty better , it may have little noticiable effect. The neat thing about the adpater is that tyou use the Fritz GUI to select settings and personalities (if you Crafty 19.15 SE) as opposed to typing them in the crafty.rc file,
