I had much pleasure with this game which was played in my recommende style when
fighting computer programs and with which it is (easily) possible to get draws.
An dieser Partien hatte ich viel Freude. Sie wurde in dem Stil gespielt, den ich
im Kampf gegen Computer empfehle und mit dem es (leicht) möglich ist, den
Verlust zu vermeiden.

human who was able to beat a ChessBase program in past editions of this
Festival, and reached a very promising position. The game ended in a draw by

Not dangerous was 22...c5 as White can hold the position and get the pawn
majority on the queenside / Nicht gefaehrlich war 22...c5, denn Weiss kann die
Stellung einfach halten und spaeter die Bauernmehrheit am Damenfluegel in die
Waagschale} 23. Qc2 Nf5 24. Rd3 b5 {Shredder8 is thus taking the initiative /
Damit uebernimmt Shredder8 die Initiative} 25. Rfd1 Qb7 26. c5 {At first glance
this does not look like very convincing the more so since White remains with a
backward d4-pawn. On the other hand it stops Black's counterplay on the
queenside and allows White to concentrate on the other wing and to slowly
prepare a kingside attack. I think that the advantages of 26.c5 outweigh the
disadvantages / Das sieht auf den ersten Blick wenig ueberzeugend aus, bleibt
Weiss doch mit einem rueckstaendigen d4-Bauern haengen. Andererseits wird das
schwarze Gegenspiel am Damenfluegel gebremst und kann sich Weiss dann auf den
anderen Fluegel konzentrieren und dort langsam einen Koenigsangriff
vorbereiten. Ich glaube, dass die Vorteile von 26.c5 ueberwiegen} Re8 27. Qg2

, oder war vielleicht der Meinung, dass es zu riskant sei, seinen
positionellen Vorteil weiter auszubauen. Oder vielleicht hat Weiss schlicht
