But outside of the event hall one gets *zero* impression of this. I've been to WCCCs at London and at Maastricht and both times, Jaap van den Herik and Jos Uiterwijk were working extremely hard for the entire time I was present (I competed at Maastricht so I was present for the whole tournament). Incidentally at Maastricht one should certainly add Joke Hellemons to the list of extremely hard-working ICGA staff - I don't remember seeing her in London, though she could have been there. Meanwhile, despite the huge amount of effort being put in, people at CCC accuse the organizers of not doing anything! Take my word for it, the organizers do a *huge* amount to make the event run...
