Chessmaster is a mass-marketed program and only a very small subset of buyers
frequent this forum.  I would guess that knowledge of the interchangeability of
the engines will not be known to most and therefore will not impact the market
success of CM10K much at all.

I agree with you about disrupting the synergy of the development team.  What a
sad decision that was.
