At work, one of the computers I use will display "no signal" on the screen when
the computer is off and the screen remains on. Not all screens do this. This is
not abnormal behavior and usually you should take it to mean that the computer
is simply not turned on. However, it can also be caused by the cable between the
display and the computer not being hooked up securely or is faulty and needs to
be replaced or the display itself is bad.
