May be your system was build on a monday or was not burned in correctly ;-)

Or perhaps this small animals, we in germany call "elektro-lurch".
They keep singing "Volt, Watt, Ampere, Ohm - ohne mich gibts keinen Strom".

As i was radio and television mechanicer some decades ago, such mysterious,
sproradic failors happened a lot with tvs and other devices. The 220V 50 Hz is
not always a pure sinus, but has a lot of spikes, where probably some cheap
power supplies have problems with.

I remember one customer, who at least three times a week has to change a burned
electric bulb in one special room.
