Subject: Raw beginner wants to learn

Hai friends,
    I have been learning the data structs (self learner) in C. I am also a chess
player. I have come across some terms in chess programming such as , bit board,
load factor, pv , eval function etc from this message board. I want to learn
more of the chess programming.
Can any one give pointers for that purposes. Let it be from the basic so that I
can follow the threads in this message board.
