If you do it alternating "Friday, Saturday, Friday, etc.", then it requires you to keep track of it, "I haven't played in a few weeks. What day is the tournament this week?" Instead he recommended doing something like, "First Friday of the month, second Saturday, third Friday, fourth Saturday, etc."
