There's 1000s of files in Chessmaster, many of which are compatible
in both directions. Complaints usuallly are triggered by files that
are *not* compatible. :-)

Though this particular file's compatibility was on my (and probably
only mine) to-do list, it never made it to the priority section. So
there's no need to feel sorry for me. Feel happy about a free update
instead.

And as far as legal issues are concerned, I think John Merlino already
made the point clear, based on experience with the OPK work-around.
In short: creative use of data is allowed for personal use. Just don't
sell it, or distribute cracked products.
