I just checked the sourcecode of Crafty. It contains the anti-trojan code. But:
- it is only enabled _before_ the capture on g5
- it is only enabled when crafty has little time. From the sourcecode
(preeval.c):
* Note: this is disabled if the time limit is greater *
* than 30 seconds, since Crafty should be able to see *
* the trouble with that much time. *
After the capture on g5 the anti-trojan code is disabled (It's too late then
anyway).
I checked the position after 8.Nh3 with the Baron that handles the trojan threat
a bit differently from Crafty, and it also needed some time to see the danger:
