Well, first of all there would be a big difference as Shredder would be running
on at least 4 fast processors if not 8 or more.

Also in that case it will be using a specific secret book to avoid Kasparov to
know in advance what Shredder would play and specifically made for that match.

All this together would make a big difference as the CB version is commercial
and does include weaker variations to have a more variable moves/lines
selection. This is a specific commercial need which weakens the program in some
games and if the opponents know what the program would play Shredder would be
handicapped by this.
