For those members living in the northern hemisphere it now the height of Summer and the living is easy.. what better time to untangle ourselves from PC screens, jumper cables, surge protectors,Upteron processors(or is it Downteron?)keyboardS,etc.etc. and take a nice spinout to the beach Dedicated chess computers are perfectly suited to accompany the whole family for a sunny day at the shore below are some recommendations : first is aptly named..the Mephisto Beach a small hand held portable available in several colors weak program but i think its waterproof: http://www.alte-schachcomputer.de/SCbeach.jpg second on the list would have to be the Fidelity Decorator.. can double as a serving tray for lunch at the beach will have to run a line from the car to the computer though...does not work on batteries: http://www.schachcomputer.at/rardecorator.htm lastly i would recommend the Milton Bradley Phantom(Milton,Grandmaster) this computer has the very rare "flotation feature"and will actually float on water allowing for some much needed exercise of dog paddling while playing: http://www.schachcomputer.at/rarmilton.htm Mid-Summer Regards Steve
