hi all
for me the fun of Computer Chess is to actually play chess against the computer
of course it is well known by now i prefer dedicated units to PC programs
as a younger man i competed in chess tournaments and in later years postal
tournaments

but i wonder..
how many members actually play chess themselves against the computer?
or do they use the computer to play Comp VS Comp games mainly or use the program
to analyse positons or use the computer to play on the internet?

i was thinking perhaps that players into computer chess are actually playing
less chess or even not playing themselves at all and instead letting the progs
do the actual playing or analyzing...
not sure if this is a good thing...

so i ask for a show of hands...
how many members play chess against the computer on a regular basis?

Best
Steve
