Go up one level in this thread
My Thanks to all of the members that responded to this thread it was very reassuring to see that many members are still playing chess and not just letting the computers have all the fun.. no matter if life's commitments only will allow a game or two a month or several games a night and no matter if is against humans, dedicated units, the PC ,Pda's etc etc in my opinion if we stop playing chess and just let the computer do the thinking.somehow we lose something as for me...i manage about a dozen games a week..usually Blitz(game/10/30) and yes..even i ,every now and again will take up hostilities against CM5500(only PC prog i currently own) a bit sad i think ,that when we were younger we had more time to play chess and as we grew older life allowed us less time when we retire from our jobs/careers we of course will have time again but i can speak for myself when i say.. i think i will be an early candidate for Alzheimer's and when i finally have time to play more often i will probably be so far gone, that if you sit me down and put me in front of a chess board i will probably put the King or Queen in my mouth.. Best Regards Steve
