If you ask most chess aficionados to name the first Auto Sensory board to contain no leds and no other distractions on the board itself, you would typically get a reply such as the DGT board the Tasc Smart boards or perhaps even the Mephisto PC board or Novag Electronic board. however years before these boards were released Fidelity released (for the European market only)the Elite Privat a very unusual concoction of sensor board attached by a cable to a led box which displayed the computers move the board was released in 1984 and was equipped with the World Champion Glasgow program(about 1800 Elo) this computer is considered a rare computer today and is in high demand there is even one up for bid on Ebay as we speak the Elite Privat: http://www.schachcomputer.at/elitepr.htm Best Steve
