Subject: Collector's Corner...Auto Sensory boards

If you ask most chess aficionados to name the first Auto Sensory board to
contain no leds and no other distractions on the board itself,you would
typically get a reply such as the DGT board the Tasc Smart boards or perhaps
even the Mephisto PC board or Novag Electronic board.
however years before these boards were released Fidelity released (for the
European market only)the Elite Privat

a very unusual concoction of sensor board attached by a cable to a led box which
displayed the computers move
the board was released in 1984 and was equipped with the World Champion Glasgow
program(about 1800 Elo)
this computer is considered a rare computer today and is in high demand

there is even one up for bid on Ebay as we speak
