It's a concept called "fairness"! The Shredder-Classic engine could not learn something because it did'nt play any game yet and I wanted both to start from the same level. Of course both can learn whatever they want during the match! And btw I am pretty sure that even Bob, if he wants to messure the real strengs of two engines (no book, thats why I am using the Nunn2 positions), would not start with one engine from scratch and the other with a couple of thousand games allready played!
