Glad you found the bug.  Sounds like several of mine: just when I think it's the
compiler, or the OS, or a bad chip, I find that it's just me, after all.

This winboard interface doesn't sound too difficult to hook up.  I think I'll
get a windows machine for a couple hundred bucks and try it out.
