Hello Dan, I guess we got off thread but thanks for pointing out that to me. I tested CM6K's ability to drive me out of the "Wrong" corner since that is a basic theme in solving the problem. CM6K on my machine could not mate from the starting position you gave me. I even tried it at game/25 and it looked better but still could not get it together. It's curious though that it knows enough to drive you out of the wrong corner but not enough to co-ordinate it's pieces in the middle of the board. Maybe it will have enough search info at 2-3 minutes/move to complete the job. That's a test for another day since I received my Fritz 5.32 today and I'm having fun with it now. I'm considering a Fritz 5.32 match vs CM6K. I think it will be interesting. I just haven't decided on the time controls yet. Regards, Jim Walker
