The main novelty will be the first world championship of humans versus computers, the first occasion in which a team of world class computer programs will face another team consisting of three international grandmasters with the support of ICGA. Bilbao has been selected as the site of the event, beating out other interested capitols such as New York and Tel Aviv, recent site of the computer championship. Ruslan Ponomariov, Véselin Topalov y Sergey Karjakin will face Junior, Fritz and Hydra over four days. The masters will play a different program each day with fourth round parings set by drawing lots. The sum of points gained by each team will determine the winner and will serve as a measure of the level reached by technology compared to humans. Sites will be the town of Bilbao on the 6th and 7th and BBK headquarters in Gran Via on the 8th and 9th from 16:30 to 20:30 hours. Entrance is free and games will be retransmitted directly from the offical page of the Festival.
