Believe I'm going for the Dual G5 sometime this fall when the prices drop again. As many of you mentioned I have to balance what I want out of the machine. In the end a Dual G5 will satisfy my speed needs for comp chess tournaments, as a coding machine, as a server, and occasional iD games :) More bang for the buck... On a fun side note, wonder if the Doom III port to OS X will have G5 optimization or support SMP. Though that's off-topic and for another forum. Thanks again :) greatly appreciate the commentary.
