They put in the time, and deserve a great deal of gratitude. Let's resolve in the new year to put aside any differences, and to be more tolerant of each other's opinions. If one feels slighted, it is better to offer an intellectual and reasoned rebuttal than to resort to name-calling. This whole endeavor is, after all, in the interests of furthering the computer chess field, and we can only accomplish that goal if we put aside our ego and understand that there is much left to discover.
