I am trying to get a better handle of the use of personalities and parameters I am running the king as a uci engine with wb2uci I have a personality statement in w2uci which allows the selection of various personalities [EXTRAS] Personality=<readfile>|combo|Default|Default|CM9_SKR|CM9_Surak8c|CM9_blasphemy|The King 3.23M2v5|CM9_Judge|CM9_Buc|CM9_Cronus|CM9_R1 I store these personalities in the same directory as the wb2uci file as txt files Now my problem is this I wanted to verfify the parameter values being used by a particular personality So I loaded the personality began analysing right clicked on the analysis and clicked properties Well all properties showed was the personalty not the parameter numbers Even move puzzling I added a personality in wb2uci for which I had no corresponding txt file Chessbased seemed to have loaded it and started engine (the king) but with values I have no idea Is there a way to check this ? Would I be better off just using parameter file ? Do I need to remove the personality statement from wb2ci to use this way ? Tom
