Subject: An alternative to FRC?

While I was thinking about thematic tuornament in correspondece chess, I ask to
myself if was a valid idea to select an adequate number of openings thought most
possible equalizing to assign them randomizly to the players in every game of
tournaments purposely dedicates to them. This new specialty, alternative to FRC,
it would obtain the same result to diminish the advantage of the
theorical preparation (not being able to choose the opening from a personal
repertory), and at the same time not to devaluate too much the construction of
variations in openings theory, what that to my warning constitutes the main
reason of the insufficient spread of the specialty Fischer Random Chess: the
fear to render superfluous and to take apart the immense castle constructed in
many decades from the theorists. In ICCF Thematic Tournament, such openings are
well selected and followed. Someone think this speciality will place side by
side the FRC in tournaments, as an example with Gothic Chess in Graz?
