It is dependent on the complexity of the move generator and only Amir Ban and
Stefan Meyer-Kahlen know.
They posted in the past and they have an email so you can ask them if it is
important for you to know.

Programmers with complicated move generator may need more time.
I guess that for a lot of programmers it is even not important enough to be able
to give an estimate because in order to give a good estimate you need to think
what exactly you need to change in the program.
