Subject: Really? Still no major improvement in 2 years?

Notwithstanding the post just below me, which might be found for it a
significant improvement over the best, or maybe not, I am just now back from my
travels and had no easy access to internet, and when I made a phone call to a
chess program store, they said there had not been anything new during the past
10 weeks.
But the persn answering the phone seemed to believe that it went without saying
that Shredder 8 is stronger than Shredder 7.04, since it is illogical that a
later program would not be stronger than the previous.
But I don't know how many people think this to necesarily be the case, and it
seems to me (not from proffessional assesments of chess, which hardly anyone
below world champion level can estimate from merely playing a game or two) from
reports and results....that....
the last clear bit of good news was Shredder 7.04, and that nothing has yet
proved itself as necesarily stronger, if that.
And that has already been about 2 years, hasn't it?

What will be?????
