Greetings I'm a computer chess fanatic who has been forced to put up with the profound indignation of using a 486 computer (gasp!) due to lack of capital. However, I have decided to upgrade (at great personal risk and threat of divorce). I need some advise. I'm not a computer person by any stretch of the imagination and the specs available are a little bewildering. Can someone suggest a system configuration. The primary use will be chess analysis. I'll probably run CM6000 because I currently use CM5000 and love it and I like the user interface. I want it to be very strong without breaking the bank. Oh ya, one other thing, I get a deal on Compaq machines if that makes a difference. Please be specific about processor/speed/RAM/Hard Drive size/monitor size/etc Thanks Dave
