Subject: Re: Anands results are still crippled, look! (results)

Go up one level in this thread

Anandtech now has my GCC 3.4.1 binaries, so if he isn't biased he'll use them
for his testing. If he refuses to use them, or even compile with my options he
definitely is corrupt beyond all belief. Also, why didn't he use Crafty? It uses
64bit stuff quite well and IMHO is a more realistic benchmark than TSCP is.

Scores quoted are from here:
http://www.anandtech.com/linux/showdoc.aspx?i=2158&p=4

My compile options:
gcc -O3 -fprofile-arcs -march=cputype -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer
recompiled with:
gcc -O3 -fbranch-probabilities -march=cputype -funroll-loops
-fomit-frame-pointer

Where cputype = pentium4, athlon-xp, or k8

Scores:

Anandtechs Athlon 64 3500+:
323606 n/s

With my non-super optimized gcc binary (anyone can do it easily), here are some
of the results I get:

So the Athlon XP 2600+(2083MHz) and Celeron 2.4 smoke the Athlon 64 3500+? Not
hardly :)

As I mentioned before.. I sent these results and binaries to Anand. If he
doesn't use them and keeps this crippled result, well, I'll think even less of
the guy.

To get the binaries to test for yourself:
ftp://newageoc.com/pub/bench/tscp-k7.zip (Windows binary)
ftp://newageoc.com/pub/bench/tscp-k7lnx.zip (Linux binary)
