You might want to re-direct output also to a file from the dos window, or write
a very simple startcrafty.bat.

Be in the crafty directory, then in a dos window type:
copy con startcrafty.bat <enter> //creating the file startcrafty.bat
crafty //executing the crafty.exe file
pause //pausing the screen until you press a key
<Ctrl + Z> //will show as a carat+Z: ^Z
<Enter> //writing file to your disk's current directory

Then just type "startcrafty", and read the screen.

Hope that helps

Dave
