Thanks! It's very entertaining and enlightening to read these pioneer chess program theories. Normally they had to testrun there programs with paper and pen. Programming at that time didn't offer developing environments and debugging tools of today. When Shannon wrote this, many of the parents to the readers of this forum wasn't even born! /Peter
