Subject: Question about XP Machine (OT)

While analyzing a position with engines in Arena, I checked the Task Manager to
see CPU usage. Much to my surprise, I discovered that no application gets more
than 50% of the CPU time. 'System Idle Process' is listed as about 50% also.

Is there some priority setting in XP to prevent programs from hogging too much
CPU time? Or could I have something running in the background (like a virus
scanner), that's taking up resources?
