Not while it was mainly used as a piracy tool, I used it to legally back up my originals. Now I use BlindWrite to make the backups as there are no more updates for CloneCD. While tools like these do get abused, there are people like me that use them entirely for the purposes of protecting the investment I have made in software purchases. I doubt UbiSoft would pay for a replacement cd or any other company for that matter if I were to accidentally scratch it, so I make a copy of _everything_. Now that I have purchased DVDR drives now, I have begun backing up all my DVD's in the event something happens. I have two small children, and "something" has happened more than once now. I got kind of lucky that all 4 of my DVD players play DVD-R instead of the more costly DVD+R. In Canada I can purchase 10 DVD-R disks for about $65. DVD+R is still about $1.70/disk. That would crush the wallet :) So far I have backed up close to 70 of my 250 DVD collection. Peter
