It does not prove preperation of the hydra team and I  think that hydra was out
of book earlier than shredder but maybe they saw at home that their small book
was enough against shredder so maybe they prepared lines that they can win
against opening that shredder played(at least if they play against the
commercial shredder).

Not that hydra has an advantage of not being commercial and not playing in WCCC
so it is harder for shredder to prepare against it.

As a general rule smaller book is better than bigger book for slow time control.
The reason is that the engine can find better moves by itself at long  time
control when at blitz saving time on the clock is more important.
