No, I'm not a collector, as such. However, I do own an unreasonable number of chess computers and programs. I think I inherited this insane behavior from my late father who, in spite of his horrible golf game, continued to buy all the latest golf equipment. I own also more chess sets and boards than can be reasonably justified. In addition, I own a boatload of chess literature. With all of the chess equipment around here one might imagine I'm a reasonably competent chess player. Not true. It's STILL my goal to ascend to mediocrity. Unfortunately, I'm now 50 years old so I'll probably just go from bad to worse. And after all these years I'm STILL not sure how to pronounce Giuoco Piano. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gong to get drunk. Cheers!
