I've tested 273 (versions of) engines in "WM-Test" (every test position 20 minutes on AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1400 mhz, 128...256 mb hash) - the best engine/setting so far in these 38 test positions of king attack: Pro Deo 1.0 with the "Q3 - Tactical Engine" personality: 32 positions solved, 2.82 minutes average solve time. Another strong engines/settings in king attack positions of "WM-Test": - Shredder 8 Gambit: 32 solved / 2.99 minutes - Fritz 7.0.0.8....: 31 / 3.02 - CM9000_Pillen....: 31 / 3.38 - Fritz 8.0.0.23...: 30 / 2.68 - CM9000_SKR.......: 28 / 2.40 - CT 15 Gambit agr.: 29 / 4.41 - Deep Junior 8.ZX.: 28 / 3.85 - CM9000_R1........: 27 / 1.88 - Gothmog 0.4.8....: 28 / 3.99. Detailed results (in Excel) of 260 (versions of) engines available for free download at http://www.computerschach.de/test/index.htm. Regards, Manfred
