hi Frank even some of the later dedicated chess computers were able to handle this. some of the Mephisto modules had a "draw contempt" option in which you could set the computer to avoid draws at all cost or play heavily towards a draw.. the contempt factor could be set in incrememnts .25 of a pawn a negaitve setting would make the computer play for a peaceful draw while a large postive setting would make the computer avoid a draw at all costs Steve
