Indeed

The de Koning program 2.5 is tactical stronger (hence the higher Computer ELO)
but positional weaker I guess.
The Mephisto 68030 tournament machines performed already extremely well against
IMs and GMs in rapid chess tournaments 91/92 and the results in London 1994 on a
90 Mhz Pentium are well known.
