Hi Bob,

thanks again.
OK, this is clearer for me.

To your question:
I am sure that this case is not to compare with Voyager / LaPetite / LaGrande.
Voyager the first version, LaPetite is the light version of the second program
name and LaGrande the full version of the second program name or better the
clones of Crafty!

I don't have information about the sources of ELChinito (I am not a programmer
and understand only 5-10% of chess sources in C).

I will wait of the answer by ELChinito programmer Eugenio before I delete the
program and discredit the programmers of ELChinito. If we have not an answere in
the next 14 days I will delete the program.

Read this one (little review about ELChinito, around 2 1/2 years old):

Surprisingly El Chinito won of franz. programmers organized fourth tournament in
Massy 2002.
With Eugenio I had contacts in the last years occasionally. Due to the
impressing results in Massy 2002 (El Chinito lost not one game and won
convincingly with one point projection/lead) I have a small talk with Eugenio by
mail held …
To the programmer Turnier in Massy, France:
The idea to the programmer Turnier in Massy (France) was transferred by the Mr.
Frédéric LOUGUET (Chess Wizard), Sylvain RENARD (Capture) and Franck ZIBI
(ZChess, now Pharaon). Target should be that the programmers apart from of many
years organized the French championship second meet time in year around
information to exchange and naturally over simply fun to have. Computer chess in
France is very importantly for the area amateur chess generally and played from
ever ago a large role. Already promptly placed franz. To promote programmer
WinBoard versions freely for the order around the amateur chess area with your
means. Professor Dr. Djordje Vidanovic had forwards approx.. 3-4 years important
contacts initiated.
Eugenio (35 years) comes from Spain and lived for a time into Germany . Pascal
(32 years, freshly married) is born in Vietnam (he comes from a Chinese family).
He lives with his family many years in France now already and has franz.
Nationality. Eugenio wrote its first program with 17 years, a program for the
solve from mate problems. With 19 Eugenio developed its first chess program (QL
/ Basic). Eugenio has still further hobbies apart from chess e.g. sport
generally, Jogging, "Footing as mentioned", mountain pastes and computers of
plays as "Civilization". Pascal concerns itself apart from chess with KungFu and
Chinese philosophy. The two became acquainted with themselves with the WM in
Jakarta 1996.
Beside the first Fritz versions busy itself Eugenio also gladly with Junior,
Hiarcs, Rebel and other programs. Also Eugenio always operated on its own
program Eugen. The philosophies for El Chinito developed 1999, the first
versions in the year 2001 were finished placed. Pascal says that Eugenio is the
main programmers of El Chinito and it would be hardly possible for El Chinito
without its work to develop. Thus the two programmers with its common
development El Chinito played your first tournament in Massy 2001.
Few information to El a Chinito:
El Chinito is pure C program, not C++ or assembler and over 400 positions per
second on a K7 1,6 GHz computers. El Chinito is more intelligent than fast. And
yes, we use 16 bit attack tables (Eugen uses this since 1995). Speciall
selective move algorithms. Uses learning for positions and openings. Nullmove
with (R=2).

At present El Chinito can be regarded as purely private amateur chess a
development. The support for WinBoard is intended. Eugenio does not believe the
fact that commercial chess brings very much cash and I think we all can only
hope that El Chinito the user however constituted, freely or perhaps
nevertheless commercially is made available.
Original comment of Eugenio:
"in Massy 2002 almost all programmers under the two user interfaces Arena or
WinBoard played: -)
I believe we already very soon a El Chinito WinBoard version will have".
Beside El Chinito operate Eugenio and Pascal also on XieXie. XieXie is "Chinese
Chess Program". The two intend to go at the WM 2002 in the Maastricht with both
programs to the start.
Note:
The WM in Maastricht becomes of 05th July - 11th July, 2002 take place.
An interesting comment on the conditions in Massy:
"I prefer 30 minutes portions, like in Massy privately also However I would not
like to state necessarily that El Chinito is particularly good with this time
keeping."
Also I addressed Eugenio on other strong Spanish programs. My ulterior motive
was to be gotten to know it, why the Spanish championship was not executed in
the last year. After the knowledge of Eugenio the well-known Spanish programs
become probably Toledeo (Zeuss) and Bestabe no longer continues to develop. The
programmer von Ruy Lopez stays at present in the USA.

I have no interest to get problems and have no interest to give to many of my
time for such things.
