Yes it was dismantled after it accomplished what it was built for. I wish it had not but since IBM paid for it they can do what they want with it. Still I see no reason to re-invent the wheel. I do like the idea of a "Deep Blue Jr." on a single plug-in card. I wish that was where they were headed with Hydra.
