hi all
several members have posted offers to explore maintaining the CCC  on a
voluntary basis..
in my opinion going down this avenue would be a mistake for us all
ICD is one of the finest, most professinal ,businesses i have ever dealt with
compare this to someone who might get tired or lose interest in maintaining the
site on a voluntary basis
here one day..gone the next..poof!
consider even now..Steve could have simply posted a message here that the site
is now closed and it was fun...cya
but he did not!
he gives us all a chance to fight for what interests us
i bet the folks over at ICD are the last to want to see this site go because
they love computer chess just as much as we do
you can bet your bottom dollar..if we pay for the site..ICD will move mountain
and earth to maintain a high quality club for us all
