Steven, my personal vote is a cross between c and d. Option (d) would never work by itself, so set a fee, or any combination of fees for (1) monthly, (2) yearly and (3) lifetime access. But..... if a user feels unable to pay, let him write and give you his reasons for not paying and request free access. This should be a discretionary matter, decided from case to case, and can be revoked at any time. Maybe you can give a list of reasons for free access (eg, age under 18, age over 65, full-time education, poor country, etc...) The fee should only be for "full accounts" (reading and posting). Read-only accounts should be free. Mike
