My concerns about changing the site to system where you pay for an account would be that due to the inevitable decrease in membership, the quality of the forum would drop significantly. Those people who the site would lose once the it went to a pay system contribute greatly to it's value. Once you only allow people who pay money access to the site, I predict that it would lose alot of it's value, even to those who are willing to support it financially. I would be willing to donate some money to continue to have the site be free to everyone. I'd be willing to subsidize the non-payers to some extent because I get value from their posts. I'm sure some others feel the same way. I think the question on everyone's mind though is "how much?". How much would it take to keep this forum running as it is? Once the IDC gives us a number, people can start to have more realistic discussions about how to keep it going. This is just my opinion of course. I have not been a member for very long, but enjoy this resource greatly. Thank you ICD for hosting it for so long. Eric
