As far as I know Hydra is the only program in the world that can use hydra's hardware so your question is meaningless. I guess that the advantage of Hydra is not better hardware but hardware that is designed for chess and I suspect that if you ask hydra's hardware to do some task that is not about chess like finding primes then you may find that Shredder's hardware is better.
