Hello, Passionate as your little exchange was...... I have really only one word for you all....but more of that later. You took me through old history, dragged the thread through USENET which I quite like as well. All kinds of stuff going on. I just wanted to know what Eduard meant when he said there was an alternative. I know about the Arena Support forum which deals with support of Arena. I know about the Arena Event forum which deals with events, tournaments, mates. I know about the Winboard forum which deals with Winboard. I wanted to know which forum he meant. The one that deals with computer chess. The one hosted at....and here's the word, just in case you missed it..... Parsimony In other words which forum? Is there one that I don't know about? Thanks anyway for proving my point. You see, I don't want to forget that the question Steven asked was about the future funding of CCC. He said that the cost wes prohibitive. So, my veiw elsewhere was, if you like it, as I do, don't want it to disappear, don't want it to move, don't want it to change hands (although I would rather that than it disappears), then I personally would not mind paying. The 6 months in advance part? Well, as I said, thanks once again for proving my point. I knew that I could rely on you all. 1984, more like 1527.
