Deep Blue had no Chess Knowledge of the level of Hydra it's Chess Code was primitive Hydra has better chess code(i say better not the best) and great hardware the combination of both take Hydra miles ahead of Deep Blue. If Deep Junior is better than Deep Blue according to your kasparov and Deep Fritz is better than Deep Blue according to Vladimir Kramnik than surely Hydra is better than Deep Blue regards
