Can you guess the probability in which case this extra pawn is going to help mating? After all, evaluation is full of small errors and uncertainty. How would you implement it if you just ignored those cases when the pawn is helpful for mating and ruled all those cases with 5-piece tablebase? In search code ...? Jarkko
