No, it's not.

I don't know why we have to go thru this _again_, but here we go...

They received a complaint and that together with circumstancial evidence
"forced" the TDs to investigate the case further. (by looking at the source,
talk with the author and whatnot) He didn't cooperate with them and therefore
broke the rules or the tournament. Therefore he was disqualified from the
tournament. It's as simple as that.

In this context it doesn't matter at all, whether the author or other engines
would have done that or not. If you partipate in a tournament, you have to
accept the rules. If you don't accept them, don't participate.

*I* wouldn't laugh. I would have accepted the rules of the tournament (if I
would have joined the tournament in first place) and act accordingly.

No I don't, and I don't want to. I try to hold on to facts as opposed to wild
guessing and speculation.
