(sigh) Hearing, that there would be no way to make that sources public now, and moreover still not seeing any percentage of "patchworked" foreign sources, nor a list of "cited" original authors, makes me shook my head. Refuting a publishing gives reason to believe that the individually written parts would be far smaller than expected, and thus going open source would make the case even worse. Personally I am no friend of open source or GPL. But when there has been a use of foreign code (which obviously is not at all denied), one has to keep the rules of that sources. Not obeying such implicite rules (even when been reminded to) surely will exclude you from the "game" of computer chess programming - I am afraid of. Reinhard.
