Subject: Simplifications and endgame technique

Author: Albert Silver

Date: 18:49:10 01/05/99

This game was played today:

Of note (apart from Morozevitch's monstrous 8/9 - lad has a knack for monstrous
scores doesn't he?) were a couple of moves. How many computers see that
44...Qxc3 would lose (and how long does it take them to see it)? And how long
does it take them to see the winning 45.h5!
